Default radio removeal

I have the SAFE signal on my radio right now and have lost my radio code. I called the dealer and they said i need to remove my radio and get the serial # off the back for them to tell me the radio code.

How do i remove the radio without destroying the console???? I looked in the owners manual and the concert sound manual and neither give any instructions. please help.

The dealer that sold the car new, if you know who that is, can get you the code. You probably will have to prove you own the car before they will give it to you but it beats pulling the radio out. Good Luck!

If you don't have the tools just have the dealer do it all for you. Mine charged me $75, but it was cheaper then a new radio.

if ur local to me, i can help ya out with the keys, if not, you can check local stereo shops they often have keys. it looks like a ninja star. theres a circle with 3 points comin off it, you will need 4, 2 larger ones and 2 smaller ones. theres small opening in the corners of the headunit where they go, then you pull all 4 towards the outside and pull the HU out. obv is a 2 person job to pull all 4 at the same time

here waht i do, get a nail clipper with the little knife looky thingy and just stick it in each of the slots and jggle it around till that corner pops out, its really effective and its what i use whenever i take my radio out to open up the dash, so you know it will work, by the way this was on a 1996 a4, i only had 2 slot, you may have 4 depending on the year.
