re-attaching the acctuator

I got a '03 A4 1.8t quattro. Do anyone know how to reattach the acctuator cord? or do i have to bring it to a dealership to do it?

Are you talking about a wastegate actuator?

its the red cord located in the trunk where you pull to release the gas flap when the lock on the flap malfunctions.
