Reverse Lights not Working

Reverse Lights not Working
I posted this in the A4 B6 thread some time back with no responses, thought I would try a broader audience:
I have a a 2004 A4 Ultra Sport that I just noticed the reverse lights do not come on when the car is put into reverse. Its a 6 speed and I just purchased it used. Its in great shape and the lights should work.
I checked the fuse and its fine, I am going to check the bulbs but the fact that they are both burnt out makes me think its something more than the bulbs.
Any ideas what could be wrong? The clutch was replaced not to long ago by the previous owner....
Thanks!!!!!

Ya, I think you are right. I have found some VW DIY entries for the reverse light switch, but nothing for the A4. Has anyone done this? Any good place to get the switch from (besides dealership)? Any advice or hints would be great - otherwise - I may be posting my own DIY this weekend...gulp!

Problem Solved - Thought I woudl post an update. Turns out the previous owner (as I had known) had the clutch replaced. Well the shop that did the clutch replacement forgot to unclip the reverse light switch when they dropped the transmission. It yanked the wiring harness and pulled the wire out from somewhere - what a hassle.
I had to replace the switch (cheap), but also had to get my shop to find where the wiring harness was snapped/stretched. Cost me about $300 in labor and around $20 for the switch, but my lights are finally back and operational. Im now glad i didnt try a DIY, as i would not have been able to troubleshoot the broken cable.
Make sure if you get your clutch replaced to remind the mechanic to unplug the reverse light switch and save yourself some grief.
