2003 A4 1.8T CVT reverse lights not working
Hello,
I have a 2003 A4 1.8T CVT. Reverse lights don't turn on when I put the car in reverse. Dealer says the signal from the transmission control level to the transmission is good (well I guess it has to be because the car can reverse). Dealer also says if they bypass the transmission they can turn on the reverse lights directly. So the conclusion is transmission control module (TCM) must be bad. This all seems to make sense to me but this means $2000+ just to get the reverse lights working and I'm wondering if there may possibly be any other ideas?
Thanks,
Bill
