Default Shaking/Stuttering while cruising at 60mph

Hi everyone,

I just recently bought a used 2001 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro, Automatic, 122K miles.

Car runs great at any other speed, except from 55-60mph and higher.

While maintaining speed at 55-60mph on the highway, the car intermittently shakes/stutters.

No check engine light... I've ruled out imbalanced tires... what else could it possibly be? Is this a common problem with this model? Does anyone know?

This is my first Audi, so still learning some issues that may come with this car.

Other than that... love Audi's now!

Thanks for your help!

I don't think it's a wheel alignment issue or tire imbalance; the shaking doesn't go faster or slower based on speed. It feels like it's coming from the engine.
