hello!
i have some smoke coming from behind the wheels and when i raise the hood from behind/under the engine. my thought is that since my "belly pan" was mangled from the wife hitting an icy snowbank it is due to wetness coming off the tires and hitting an exhaust manifold. if i just start the car and don't move it, everythig is fine. it has been so wet around NY lately that i can't tell if i drive on dry roads it isn't smoky. i was bummed to see this stupid piece of plastic is 180 bucks. While something that looked like it could be expensive (the hazard relay i recently replaced with the help of these fine people) was only 25.

could be break pads touching rotors and steam coming off which is normal in wet conditions
