Sound system questions?
I posted this in another section and nobody replied.
Hey everybody.. I love listening to my I-pod. I have more than 5,000 songs and to copy all of them to cd's would be such a hassle. I want to connect my ipod to the car and the only way that i could think of doing it would be to upgrade the head unit on my system. I would like a touch screen flip up TV monitor or such that is I-pod capable. Ive seen some pretty nice cars out there at the shows which have very cool looking systems. I would like to do the same. The only thing is, i need to know what parts will fit my car with the littlest fabrication possible.
Some or MOst of you guys have installed subs and amps to your stock head unit. Well i plan on doing the same but with a different head unit. Are there any way i can find the wireing charts to hook up subs and amps to the stock system? What flip up monitor is the best for the money?
Is it easy to hook up? do i need any keys or special tools to take out the stock head unit? I know that in the Mercedes you need this little key thing to pop it out.
THanks for all the help you guys.. i want the best system for the money.. i want to spend about 1500 total.
