Spark Plug Help?!

My mechanic told me to stick with those NGK platinum plugs... exspensive but worth it I guess.

are those NGK's posted earlier the same ones i can use for my 2003 1.8t or do i need a different one?

but the ones i got werent expensive, they were as cheap as the copper ones, same model number and part number as well... 2$ per plug
i still want to know the difference if anyone out there knows
