Is there a significant difference between regular dexcool and the special audi dexcool? (orange-red stuff, not blue stuff)

I just replaced my tstat and audi gave me the blue stuff and it turned out that my 97 a6 2.8 takes the red. I had to run to the parts store and get some generic dexcool stuff. Should I reflush using audi's dexcool or should I just leave it. Everything seems to be working fine currently.

well audi reccomend the red stuff so they should replace it 4 ya its ther spec

 

I wouldnt use the blue stuff or dexcool in a car requiring g12, the red stuff. Why risk it? Just use the stuff your supposed to and be done with it.
