Tail light warning lights on A6 2008 - FIXED
I just got back from the "stealer" today. After a $400 bill, I thought it was my duty to share the issue and solution.
First off, my tail lights have been an issue for about 6 months. The warning light kept going on and indicating that the right rear fog light was out, reverse light was out, and tail light was out, etc.
I went and bought a brand new tail light assembly($200) because I thought the PCB board was burned out. This seemed to fix it for a few months. However, the warning lights came back.
This time, the front right zeon(?) bulb was causing an error also along with the rear lights.
Took it to the "stealer". They ran a diagnostic on it and found the light module was failing. Luckily it was under pre-owned certified warranty($85 deductible)
He also told me the front zeon bulb was intermittent, so they replaced that as well.
I better not see that error again for a looooong time. Otherwise, I am dumping this car.
