I do not know the answer to your question, but, I am curious as to WHY you would want to... There are only two situations in which ABS would not be a benefit. One is when stopping in heave, wet, lightly-packed snow more than about 3-4 inches deep. The other is when stopping in/on heavy, loose dirt and gravel. In 99% of the remaining situations, ABS helps you stop more quickly and under control.
So, if you don't mind my asking, why would you?

well the problem is when I hit the brakes I get this boing bing boing sound as I come to stop...I just had all the calipers, rotors and pads done. and the mechanic thinks it must have something to do with the ABS...I am so sick of sinking $$$$$ into this car..so b4 I sink more $$$$$..i was wondering how to disconnect the ABS...if it isn;t to hard I'm sure my BF can do it with some direction
Question. I have a '92 100 S. I have a button on the dash that allows me to turn the Anti-lock brakes off by pushing it. Of course it resets everytime the car is restarted, but I have often times turned them off because I think the ABS on this car feels slightly spongy and soft, and I seem to stop faster with it off. (I'm in California in a very dry climate so ABS doesn't give me a real advantage in stopping on most days).
I don't know if I could be stating the obvious, but did they remove this button in '93?

Bummer. Sorry I didn't read your first post carefully enough, you already stated that I guess!
I'm guessing you could bypass the ABS by disconnecting the fuse or the controller, I'd just be hesitant to do this not knowing the impact of the overall safety it could have while driving.
