Default Transmission Problem

hello, i just bought my 2001 audi a6 about a week ago, i changed my oil and my transmission oil today. Well i have a problem it seems with my transmission, for some reason when the oil in transmission gets hot and i go for a ride when it downshifts from second into first there is some kind ok kick in the car, like it doesn shift smooth, and i noticed its everytime when its around 20mph. I changed the oil and everything so its really bothering since its a new car to me. I really want to know what i can do in order to solve this problem. someone please help me thank you.

Don't these cars require a special tranny refill procedure that includes the engine running while fluid is added?

yes i did everything correct with filling the fluid, had the engine running and everything. but for some reason when the car slows down and around 20mph it has a kick into the transmission, its not a smooth shifting.

no you dont fill it with the engine running

1. fill till it comes out of the filler hole then turn the engine on,
2. switch the engine off then refill till it comes out of the filler hole,
3. close up because your done,

filling the tranny while its running over fills it and there is your problem ( over fill is as bad as under fill )

my moms beamer did that about 6mos. after she bought it new in 2002. Took it back to the dealer about 5 times because of the exact same problem....the tranny would clunk while downshifting to 2nd or so, at about 20mph. Felt like the car would just clunk forward. They just kept adjusting it at the dealer saying there was no serious problem they could find.

Well in about 6mos. ago her tranny just sh*t the bed, and it's about $4,000 to replace.

Not trying to scare you, but don't take tranny issues lightly. Find out what the problem is, and if you've gotta sell the car before it goes, DO SO.
