Trouble with Chipped A4

Trouble with Chipped A4
I recently (2 months) ago i chipped my 2001 A4 with the stage 1 GIAC chip. I am at college so i rarely drive it though to save money and campus is real close to home. But i drove it today and was messing around with my friend and noticed that it was sluggish as hek! I got to 3k rpm's in 2nd gear and put her to the floor and nothing happened no turbo winding sound or anything. I was just worried about something being wrong with it because it has been acting a little weird since the chip was installed. Like some days it has ***** to the walls boost then others its like driving a Hyundia. I have been contemplating replacing the Diverter Valve, as i heard that should be upgraded with a chip. i was just wondering what you all thought might be going on?
also my friend has a 1999.5 a4 chipped with a MTM stage one and his turbo winds much much earlier than mine, maybe thats just the chip difference and his is also automatic, which could have something to do with it. Mine is manual.
I dont know im just worried about it.
thanks again!!

Seems strange that no cel would be triggered. Any access to someone w/vag-com? Otherwise autozone's loaner scanner may pick up the underboost condition it sounds like your having but not nearly as definitively as the actual vas or ross-tec vag-com. I have heard of the programming after chipping can go haywire some times. Contact Giac and see if they could offer any suggestions. If it is your chip they should re-flash it for you free of charge. How long has the car been sitting while you were not driving it. Its possible that if left long enough the fuel could have turned on you.
