I have a 2000 Audi A4 1.8t that is not a quatro. I have 173,000 miles on my car. It drives fine and doesn't make any noises. I like to change things before they break. I am thinking of changing my turbo out. I don't intend to do any major mods. I intend to chip it. I changed the suspension and that is all I plan on doing. My concern is for reliability. In terms of long term reliability which turbo is best, K03 or K04. Secondly, what parts should be changed when you change out a turbo?

 

I have decided to put in a ko3. What parts need to be changed with it? I have a cheesy chiltons and it doesn't list any parts that should be changed. I have read that the oil lines need to be changed. Any help would be appreciated.
