Default unplugged battery

I have an 01 alloroad. Unplugged the battery and car won't start. What do I need to do to get it running again?

Plug the battery back in! LOL
Seriously, is your battery charged? The immobilizer may need to be reset... Your radio code will have to be re-entered. The throttle position will need to be reset.

So I don't need to have a scan tool to reset it? And how do you reset the immobilizer and throttle position?

The immobilizer resets when you insert the key.
After connecting the battery, turn the key
part-way, don't crank. You should hear the throttle
moving for 2 minutes.
You should be ready to go.

you can't reset the immobilizer. but then again disconnecting the battery has no effect on it anyways

So I'm guess that the best bet it to keep some aux power suppy powering the car while changing a battery? I'm doing mine today and I'm reading all sorts of horror stories. I also happen to own an 01 allroad.

Edit update: FYI... I just used some jumper cables running to my John Deere (off) and swapped the batteries out quickly and had no problems.
