well the mechanic found a probblem with the ecm cable, it was all coroated, and the fuel relay was replaced, now the car starts, he said that water was getting into the ecm mount, and the cables were just getting moldy, anyone ever heaerd of this? could that have been the probblem of my car just dying out and not starting?

 

Yeah thats called coolant migration, coolant gets in the wires from the ECT sensor and works it way to the ECM. Its common on VW engines but not audi because they use gold connections and wiring splices, so in your case thats pretty rare. If it were a VW i think they would have found that a lot faster than they would did on your TT, well in any case its good to hear that you got your car fixed.
