Has anyone had any warranty issues after installing coilovers or hids? I'm doing both very shortly, but it'd be nice to know that the dealership isn't going to screw me.

 

The only thing they aren't gonna cover is the suspension because its not factory. Same for the HID kit, if its not factory they won't cover it. It won't affect the rest of your warranty, like lets say a seat motor goes out they would replace it without any problems.

 

ok, great...i can live with that. do you think they'd also refuse to cover control arms, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, etc. because of the c/os? i suppose they'd probably label all of the above as 'wear items.' anyway, thanks for the answer.

 

Hell we usually won't cover those anyways, if the tech found a cracked upper control arm bushing he probably wouldn't say anything until your out of warranty anyway, regardless if its modified or not. Its just the reality of the flat rate shop, they get paid a lot more for customer pay than warranty.
