Default Wastegate Actuator Assembly

does this part usually go bad and if it does would there be no boost?

Wastegate actuators can go bad and if they do they can cause boost spikes or a complete loss of boost.

True, but its rare. If you have a loss of boost check for any intake lines that may have come loose or are not connected which is a more likely cause.

I would say, check the lines going to it, chances are you have a vacuum leak somewhere in the lines.

thanks fellas I just bought a new DV and 10 ft of vacuum hose to start replacing it, I will also check all clamps for tightness.

I found the hose that connects the airbox to the turbo loose at the air box side. I checked all the hoses i could from the top but i can't jack up the car anymore. Im gonna check the rest when my vacuum lines and DV arrive and I can put it on the lift at work. Thanks
