Hey

Where is the Immobilizer on a 2000 Audi A4 Turbo Quattro with an ATW Engine? What exactly is the Immobilizer and what does it do? How do I turn it On or Off?

It cannot be turned on or off, as it's an anti-theft system. If there was a way around it, it wouldn't make sense. Basically, the system requires a matched key to start the engine. The whole system consists of special units located in the ECU, dash panel and the key itself. If you use a matched key, the system recognizes it and lets the engine run. If you tried using an unmatched key, the engine would start and go off in approx. 2 seconds, making driving impossible.
