Will 2.7T A6 suspension fit/work well on an 2.8 A6?

I can't see why they wouldn't, would most parts for one engine (same year, so same chassis) work with another engine (eg. 2.7T & 2.8L)

Usually it's not a good idea to mix suspension from different engines. The curb weights are not the same so the springs rates are different. You'll probably be alright though.
