I have to replace my alternator in my '00 S4 and after seeing the location, I figured I'd try and see what has to be removed and what doesnt. That way I only remove whats necessary and dont waste time. Thanks in advance for any help you can give

Yes I did post 2x only because its my first time and didnt realize it had posted.......YES I am NEW 2 this

 

i had to do it in mine... its on the front side of the engine at the bottom. what i had to do is unbolt the bumper (2 main bolts and 6 smaller bolts i believe) and the whole bumper assembly will pull away (including the radiator) from the car. Support it in someway and leave all the hoses and wires connected. Around that... just unbolt and replace. its fairly easy (3 out of 5 for skill level)

 

Got it done, reallynot that bad once I got the info on how to go about it. Thanks for the help.
