Default 'wwwwrrrrrrr' sound on back driver side ?

I am hearing a 'wwwwrrrrr' sound on my back driver side wheel. (sounds like a ruff snow tire, but a lot more noticeable) at first i thought it was just a worn tire (the back tires are pretty worn, while the front are in good shape) so i tried rotating the tires, just to see if that was the prob, and its not. Even w/ the alsmot new tires in the back, it makes the sound. also it goes away when i am making a left hand turn?. . . any suggestions on what it could be?. . could it just be an alignment is needed? bearing?. . anything quick i can check b/f bringing it to a shop? . any advice would be appriciated.

Thanks

Rear left wheel bearing. Find an independent shop to replace it for $250.

I've normally seen 170ish at most of the independent shops around here.
