While driving during a significant rainstorm yesterday I later found that the floor of my front and backseat on the drivers side was soaking wet????? I determined that it was not a door leak, and no water was visible anywhere else inside the car. Could clogged sunroof drains be the problem? Or may it be something else under the car??

Clean the crap out of your cowl drains where the battery sits.

 

yeah...when i bought my a4 the gasket underneath the ecu box was bad, and water leaked into my driver's side front and rear footwellstoo so i would check that also

The ECU or ECM is the engine control unit or module. It is located beneath the area of the windshield cowl on the driver's side, under the black cover. It is contained in the "waterbox," which is a sealed black box protecting the ECM from the elements.

Now, what is your issue? Do you have water in the cowl or the cabin? What is your concern with the ECM?

 

99% of the time its the sunroof drain plug. its located at the back of the engine bay on the drivers side, all the way in the corner. which is also right next to the ecu
