Default 2002 Audi A6 4.2L Catalytic Converter need help!!!

Hey guys , brand new to the forums member wise, but been a long time reader and viewer.

I got a CEL with a code of P0431 and had it ran to come back with a Warm-up cat below threshold Bank 2.

Im having a hell of a time finding a California legal cat system for my car, (OBDII complient i believe?), that is one that isnt of dealership price. So far my local Audi dealer has quoted me at 1450.00 just for the bank2 cat out the door with installation and free loner car if it doesnt get done same day.

Any suggestions as where to get a OE/OEM/AfterMarket cat for my 2002 4.2 A6 C5 sedan to help save myself from the pain the dealership wants to inflict apon my bankaccount?

You got me on this one, but for $1450 I'm sure your Indy mechanic could do it or recommend a reputable exhaust/muffler specialist in your area for at least 2/3 the cost.

Good luck and let us know what you find out!

Default Source for catalytic converter

Not sure if this place has anything that is CA compliant, but I just bought both cats for my '02 4.2L for $295 each and $39 shipping. They will be installed tomorrow. They look good, hope they fit. Here is the site: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=180328721142

good luck,
