Boost Gauge and Intake Temp?
I have somewhat of a chemistry question that's been on my mind for a while.
I know that a boost gauge measures the amount of airflow coming out of the turbo, and I know that cold air is more dense, meaning more combustion/power. What I DON'T know is whether or not the boost gauge accounts for intake manifold air temperature.
Let's just say for example a car does two trial runs with identical conditions and variables (the turbo is functioning in the exact same way during both runs). The only difference is in the intake air temperature. Would the boost gauge show the same amount of boost for both runs? or would it show more boost for the run with the colder air entering the intake manifold?

The gauge shows PRESSURE, not airflow. A ko3 at 20psi flows far less than a gt35r at 20psi. You will make more power in the cooler air since the iat's are lower which allows for more psi and/or timing. The pressure will not change
