Hi everyone,

I'm completely clueless when it comes to my car. I've barely learned how to do my own oil change with the help of my ex boyfriend. I have an 02 A4 and it's been giving problems for the longest time, it barely has 80k on it. My newest issue is the popping sound my car makes everytime I step on the gas. I dont know if this problem falls under this Forum Category but I am hoping someone can help me. Whenever I accelerate, I hear this popping/bubbling/jerking sound. It doesn't do it when I brake, just when I step on the gas. Someone told me it could be my brake fluid?? But I have no clue and I want to get some ideas of what it might be before I spend a fortune at the dealer. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it!!

 

my car started doing the exact same thing this week @83k miles.

I just had timing belt done and front brakes, so maybe something to do with that?
