I heard that a early 99 a4 quattro tip can't handle more then 300HP or else the tranny will break or something.

Is this true?

Does anybody know if there is a limit to how much HP and TQ that kind of car can handle?

 

if its been daily driven, and its a 1.8t, then that tranny is not the strongest...

often people adapt the 2.8 tranny to the 1.8 motor and it is much more solid...

for the ultimate in tranny strenth have the gears forged or chryo'd
