A better option would be to replace them. Supposedly not that expensive. The problem is a rubber-like paint that didn't hold up (2002 or older car, right?). You may want to do a posting listing the buttons you need and asking somebody with a parts manual to provide the part numbers. Then you can check out worldimpex.com to get them.

Good luck. PIA problem.

hey man,
I had the same problem and i just waited for my next service and i complained to Audi about the poor finish of the Buttoms in the car.
I called the GM and spoke to him that i bought an Audi because it stands for quality bla bla bla.
They changed all my buttoms in the car for free, windows , Nav , Cimate control even the lights.

I own an interior reconditioning Manufacturing company. We manufacture the graphics needed to repair stereos, AC units and door consoles The cost is low to repair and it is permanent. We are selling to over 80 technicians who do these repairs daily for dealers. We are just now introducing these repair graphics to the public on our ebay store for those who would like to do it themselves. As part of the listing for each set of graphics we have a link to a youtube video showing how to do the process. Check out our ebay store here: http://stores.ebay.com/IW-GRAPHICS

If they are small specks here and there I use a sharpie, and you really don't notice. How do you take them out?? I would like to spray mine. All of the threads say you need to replace the unit. As for the link that looks great but those are for gm what about an audi kit. I would go for that!
