glove compatment not opening

glove compatment not opening

how do i repair a glove compartment that won't open. The latch just pulls out and does not seem connected. My car is a 2003 a4 1.8t.

Try taking off the side panel and use a screwdriver to push thespring loaded pinback and pull down and it should come out.
