is it possible to switch a newer model audi stock steering wheel to my 1993 audi 90

You may lose feature functionality in some ways, if the newer wheel has buttons for things not on your car (or vice versa), but it might fit. Grab one from a scrapyard and try it.

better way is look at and compare your steering wheel with a newer model to make sure that feature functionality is the same.
