^ - Is that the average mileage for an S4, or does someone like the skinny pedal on the right?

I get on it every once in a while but I mostly drive pretty conservatively. I'm hardly ever on a highway though, I'd say I'm about 90% in stop-and-go type driving.

That will kill the mileage. I love when I get put on a particular client of mine that is in O'Fallon - I live in Creve Coeur - its a 23 Mile drive, all highway, all against the flow of traffic. I get the best mileage on those weeks, easily 24-25Mpg average

Yeah I bought the car in Nashville, TN and I got 22-23 mpg on the way home (at about 80mph).

Well lots of activity today. I agree what with kelly is saying. Look at my 00 a6 vs the 02+ models with the upgraded grill that looks like the 4.2 and they also added the trunk lip in 2004. I do like the idea of having the latest and greatest, but I really feel that a car should be like a washing machine that you hold onto for a long time. I think it would be cool to keep trading up, but buying the b5, b6, b7 then the b8. Also I would be pissed if I bought a b7 S4 with the 4.2 and then the next day I hear about the 3.0t. Oh well if I had the money I guess I would do it.

Ohh Right now I get 15.1 mpg, (got 14.5 before tip recode, wierd) I got 19 ish before the o2 sensor broke.

Lastly Maaco? I am placing an order for door blades in the next few days and wanted to know how the paint would look? do they do a good job or will it be better just going to a dealer or what not?

VTEC - I say go for the black wheels. Good tires can easily be had for a good price, depending on where you go. I'm not sure if there's a Discount Tire down there, but they do some decent deals / rebates on their stuff. RS4 Reps are nice, but I think your car would look really good with those Sterns on it.

He just might - I'll have to run it by him. We were thinking for the June get-together we might host and you guys could come up here and eat, do small mods, take pictures, cruise in the country, etc...

I wouldnt get anything painted at macco thats going to be in a 'high traffic' area. In other words if you thinkthey might be getting hit with small gravel or any type of debris that might chip or scuff, you might want to go somewhere else besides macco. Theyre paint can sometimes chip or scuff a little easier than others.Just got somewhere good and get it done right, itll save you the headach. Its pretty much a 'you get what you pay for' kinda deal.
