First, Willkommen to the forums!
second, you are not going to find much help here in the New Member Welcome Area. Questions will get more views and will be more likely to get answered in the appropriate section of the forums. The A4 section gets quite a bit more traffic than you are going to get here.
Third, you are going to have to pull your valve covers and realign the timing by hand. The cams should still be able to be aligned by the "wings" on the timing sprockets. Use the locking bar to ensure alignment. the issue becomes whether the crank sprocket got moved during the PO's attempt to perform the timing service. If the crank was moved when the timing belt was off the crank and cams will be out of sequence. you need to get the timing reset. I don't remember off the top of my head which cylinder you need to set to TDC before you align the cams but that is why you need to remove the valve covers. I'm sure that information is around here somewhere, as I have posted it before.
good luck
have fun
