Default A6 2.5 TDI Quattro central Locking HELP

Hi,

I own a 2001 Audi A6 2.5tdi Quattro and there seems to be a problem with the central locking.

When I push the key fob to open the doors or boot nothing happens when I place the key in the driver’s door it only unlocks the driver’s door and not the others. However, occasionally all doors do open and lock when placing the key in the driver’s door. The door lock switch which is located on the driver’s side door also sometimes works but mostly not. Also on the dash display, it says the driver’s door is open when it is closed and all the interior lights stay on when the door is closed. Please help me as I am pulling my hair out....

Thanks Doug

Lift the carpet up in front of the drivers seat & make sure it's not wet down there. If it is remove the drivers seat , lift carpet up & check your comfort module. It is housed in a black plastic box.
