Default AL transplant

Seems I've followed a few others back into Audiforum... gonna check it out and catch up on some topics if you don't mind the company.

As you can see in the sig, no mods yet - just happy (still) to be out of a F150 with the aftermarket redneck package... lifted, large tires, etc. especially with the gas prices.

The mod bug is starting to bite though and I'm starting to compile a list of wants, as opposed to needs... however the first need is a radar detector to hardwire, then move on from there.

**edit** oh, and thanks for the hookup, Amanda.

Welcome to the forum A4toZ!

This is a great site. We keep the dialogue friendly and the attitude positive. The info is well received by all and we are here to help anyone with the need. I hope you find it to your liking as well.

I may be in the market for a Ford F150, too. I'll be getting it to trailer a motor yacht, so it will be outfitted with the bigger engine and the HD tow package. Can you give me some of your impressions?

No kidding! With gas prices like they have been, I am very glad I bought the Avant, not the SUV. Well, that's one reason anyway. Welcome.

Thanks for the greetings.

ImolaS4 - I never had any issues with my F150 (save for a break in when I was window shopping Audis). I had a V6 XLT, with a few bells but not so many whistles. A friend of mine has a F150 as well, most likely the same getup your looking at as he tows his boat up to lake Conroe quite often. My significant other was planning on getting a large SUV when her lease went up, and I didn't want two gass suckers in the garage... so I went to a saweet driving car. Go figure she liked my car so much, she got the Avant.... so I basically gave up the truck for... well, I was gonna say not much - but I did get an Audi out of it.

Doose, sounds like we were thinking along the same lines since my wife got an Avant vs. an SUV. We were thinking about the 3rd row of benches to haul the offspring and their friends... but then we figured, why get a vehicle for someone else?

Norcal - yeah, I saw and added to that topic, thanks for the heads up and the welcome though. I think I'm gonna lead towards the Escort though, I think the main difference between the two are the arrows and the extra $100. I know there are a few other things, but what I've seen overall, including at that link I posted in the other thread... I figure if I don't get hooked on the arrows, I won't know any better.

Fair enough! It's all up to you. I mean, hey, if you don't want the best, then you can waste your money on something else.....
