Default Audi Groups & Canyon Carving in Denver Colorado

Hello to to all....

I'm new to this group....as I just sold my 2001 S4 and purchaseda 08 RS4.....and was wondering if a group or a few individuals go for some canyon carving on Saturdays or Sundays?

Thanks,

Barreling through a blind canyon in a 4000lb vehicle doesn't seem like the brightest idea for liability reasons. I've been through some canyons in Colorodo on a bike and in my bimmer and theres just somethin about how blind some of those corners are with a vehicle as wide as a car, along with the weight that makes it just insane from my point of view to try and drive at even 8/10s pace through a restrictive canyon.I don't know i'm sure i'm the only one who thinks this but its just easier and safer for everyone else if you do it on a bike or in a less restrictive more open environment where u can see through the turns. Then again i don't know what canyons you run and how the LOS is as i find thats the biggest thing affecting my speed through corners car or bike.

welcome, if I lived anywhere near CO then I'd be down for some canyon runs, but unfortunately I don't live anywhere near the Rockies even.

I'm down. Arvada here. There are some really good drives just a few miles West of here. Hwy72 to name one of my faves. Don't listen to Bob, the cops never chased him thru the canyons here so he don't know wtf he's talkin bout.

We'll have to shoot each other an IM to hook up for a weekend jaunt. I know my fiance loves to make 3-4 hour runs and then grab a bite at the end of the afternoon. Also, is there any local GTG's in the Denver or surronding area's where you guys get together to swap BS stories and grab a brew?
