Welcome to Audi Forums bpowa!
This is a great site. We keep the dialogue friendly and the attitude positive. It is a great site to find camaraderie with other "Audiphiles", too. I hope you find it to your liking.
Since you're new... check out the START HERE! (click this link) link to get a rundown of the lingo/vocab here at audiforums.
Be sure to search the archives first when you have a question. Chances are the question has been asked before (probably several times) and the archives will have plenty of information; quite often, the answers are comprehensive. If you still need answers, feel free to ask questions in the appropriate forum.
If there is a personal problem with the site or you want to file a complaint about a particular member, then PM the Admin or any moderator. We will keep your PM confidential and respond as soon as possible. Otherwise, feel free to post public messages about the forum on the "Forum Issues" forum (found at the bottom of the main menu). It is there that we prefer you "test" your sig, too.
Don't feel intimidated; we are all a bunch of pretty cool guys (and gals). Feel free to post advice, comments, ideas, suggestions, and even pics in the appropriate forum.
We all welcome you and hope you find this sight informative and enjoyable.

Both the ecu and the filter are under the hood next to the firewall.
Yes, it sounds like a good deal.
Don't worry about the "slowness" - you will be able to mod the car a lot.
Scorpion is a low grade, but functional exhaust.
Don't mess with the airbag light issue. Take it to Audi and let them diagnose the problem.
On a personal note: Don't call your wheels "rims" on this forum - you'll get flamed by some members - or at least me! I can understand your use of the word in the Honda world, but here we call them wheels because that's what they are.
My first advice would be to invest in a VAG-com. With a VAG you can do a lot of your own diagnosing and monitoring of the car. It works on your laptop so you can take it with you and do real world (rolling) diagnoses. It can clear codes and even do some technical/electrical mods.
Hope these comments help. Let us know how things are progressing with the new car. And congratulations!!

Hey welcome to the forum.
The ECU is located in a black box next to the firewall on the drivers side.
The cabin filter is located almost in the same spot only on the driver side. You have to remove the rain water chanel first (three big plastic screws I think). It sits underneath there.

Ok so you know the car not sure ife b5 or b6. Only issue and i think turbo but have not been a mechanic since 21 i'm 36 now. While getting on interstate and going through gears after about 3400 rpm and gas pedal pressed a little more enthusicataly than probably should noticed a hestitation or maybe a flutter. Put on my cheap scanner(FIXID) no codes present Car is completely stock except a brand new exhause previous owner had installed about 6 months ago. car has 179k miles with factory turbo i'm thinking maybe some shaftplay; but from what i'm reading could be air filter; spark; coil packs; vacuam; boost controller valve; egr hell low compression; Wear should i start
