Default Cam Belt replaced - now have Cam Sensor problem.....

Hi

I recently had my cam belt replaced (have an 07 Audi A4)... a couple of days later the Engine Management light came on. My garage advised it was the cam belt sensor and switched off the warning light.

Probably naive of me to have driven away because the Engine Management light has come back on again. Just want some advice on the cam belt sensor..... is it just bad luck that this is broken...or could it be saying something is wrong with the new cam belt. (As you can probably tell - I know nothing - so any advice would be good... I just don't wan't to be shelling out lots more money this side of Christmas.....but do know enough that a broken cambelt can cause a lot of problems)

Thanks
Ruth

I would ask them to recheck the cam timing , sounds like something is off. If you can get the fault code. Cam sensor codes will appear if cam timing is off.
Did the shop use the special tools or did they just throw a belt on.
