So I've never owned an Audi, but have been a long time fan and now has come the time for me to get a new car. I currently drive a 99 Mercury Cougar (don't hate I've had it for 2 years and was only 1,000 bucks). I haven't had any major problems other than my fuel pump recently went out. Anyways I used to own a 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD a couple years back so I know a bit about tuning and turbo'ed motors which is kinda why I'm leaning twords an audi.

I'm looking at either an 06 A4 2.0T, or possibly getting an 04 A6 2.7T? Both must be Quattro. Looking to stay around the 10-14k price range. What would be the best options around this price range? The closer to 10k the better so I don't kill myself. Just need some advice on cars and common problems with different models, things I should avoid, stuff like that. I'm also looking at either a 3 series BMW, or an 08 Passat just for reference. Your help is appreciated!
