Clear Coat issue

Clear Coat issue
I have a 2012 A6. I have noticed that the clear coat on 1 of the wheels has developed several small cracks. (clear coat only not the wheel) I made my dealer aware of my problem. They said the this was a result of "outside influences". I feel it is a flaw in the wheel and not their assumption. I recently replaced the OE tires. So the dealer blames the tire mounting and the tire store says it is the wheel. So my question is has anyone out there had a problem with the clear coat cracking on the 20" A6 wheel part#4G0601025G?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Willkommen to the forums!
I'm not aware of any issues reported with clear coat problems on the wheels of the newer models. however, most of our members/posts/inquiries are about vehicles with a bit more "patina" to them.
also, the "New Member Welcome Area" is probably not the best place for your question. There is not much traffic here, at least not of the technical question variety. you may want to ask again in the "Detailing" section of the forum. we have a couple of professional detailers that post from time to time and those guys are more likely to have "seen it all" when it comes to issues like the one you are having. we also have an "Ask A Dealer Saleman" thread that may be a good place for your question. IMHO the dealership is trying to pass the buck on this one. you are obviously not a happy customer and my thought is that, if they want to keep you happy, they would do what it takes to adequately address your concern. it sounds, to me, like they are blowing you off.
good luck
