Hi everyone,
I am looking at picking up a 1997 Audi A8 4.2 Quattro Sedan AWD for sale locally here. I know nothing about Audis and was hoping for some insight. The car has 112,ooo miles and they are asking 8,900 for it.

Well, what do you think. Is is a reasonable offer? What are things I should look out for specific to this type of car? Is 112,000 alot of miles for a car like this?
I won't be putting more that 10,000 miles per year on it with mostly city driving. I am in MI so the AWD sounds intriquing for those winter months.

the 4.2 motor is a kick *** motor you should really have any problmes with it all all just some of the accessories may need replacing from time to time.Check to see if the tranny has been replaced yet.4.2 auto trans for some reason kick the bucket over the 100k mark quite often.I'm a tech at a audi dealership and i would say we have replaced about 6 or 7 4.2 auto trans in both the a8 or the allroad this year and thats with some not taking our quote and going else where.The price is about right for the year
