I am looking at buying a 1998 S Reg Audi A4 1.8 Se Automatic. It has 65k and over all looks and feels like a pretty good car except for minor cosmetic flaws. I'm not a car mechanic but I know my way around a little. My question is Has anyone heard anything bad about these models or is there something else I need to look at before I buy? My friend and I test drove it and ran the hell out of it and his opinion was that it was a good car but I just want a little more background before I spend some money. I saw there was a lawsuit with the timing belts but is there anything else?
