Hello everyone, First time on this site.

I have a 2007 A3 S Line that I'm hoping someone here can help me with but I can't seem to post anywhere but here......???

Last week I had to manually release the car from park. In doing do so I broke the little yellow tap that allows the shifter to move and of course I can't seem to find a replacement anywhere. The local dealer said that part was unavailable by itself. I have to buy an entire shifter assembly which of course is big $$$. I've searched and searched but can't seem to find anything about this issue. I can't be the only person to have ever had this problem? The only option I've come across this ebay for a used shifter unit but it's $150 plus for a .10 piece of plastic.

Any ideas?
