Hello all. I'm a relatively new audi owner (about 6 months)... been reading up on the forum a lot recently due to my car being in the shop for the last 6 weeks or so. Living vicariously through other audi owners
Six weeks in the shop? OUCH! Hope it's under warranty! What was the problem? Is that an S6?

It's an '05 S4. Damaged due to a rogue 60+ woman driving her late 90's camry into my rear driver's side door. Apparantly she couldn't *see* the big blue station wagon in front of her. Delays have been due to inability for Audi to come up with all the airbag parts to get it repaired (side and side curtain bags blew on the driver's side during the accident). From what I'm told, it took over 4 weeks to get all the airbag parts, and then some of them were for the wrong vehicle.. so they had to be returned and the correct parts reshipped. The body shop still doesn't have all the right parts to finish the job.

Unfortunately, this is the 3rd time it's been in the shop since I've had it... 1st time was warrantee repair of a broken front tie rod end (2 days) and 2nd time was warrantee repair of a broken/leaky power steering rack (2 weeks - again, trouble getting the part from Audi). So thus far, I've owned my S4 for a sum total of less than 6 months.. and unable to drive it for over 2 of those. No one is more pissed about that than me.
