Hello. Looking for some advice
Hello, My name is Marc Schmidt. I apologize in advance for probably posting this in the wrong area. However I am a proud Audi owner for 2 years now. I have recently had some issues. I am not mechanically inclined but am very quick at learning almost anything. My concern is that I appear to have an oil leak of some type. There is nothing visibly leaking on the ground under my car. I can see what seems to be white smoke coming from the rear area of my car, and the front of my car smells like burning oil. I had the timing belt water pump head gaskets replaced 13 months ago, along with the serpentine belt and a tune up. Ran great for a while. I just had an oil change last week and the low oil light came on about 50 miles out of the shop. Well I call the mechanic I took it to and they told me they put 6 quarts in it. I drive a 2002 A6 so I believe that it takes six and a half, I added a half quart, and now I'm low again. So long story short, wondering if these two events are linked and if not any ideas on what might be going on? If so, any tips on how to check some things out. I am confident that I can get inside to check anything out. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
