Help! What are best all season tires for '02 A4 Avant (sprts pkg)
Hi All -
I'm new to the forum and glad I found it. I'm just a regular person with not too much car knowledge but know enough to know I've got a great car.
I need help! I have been very disapointed with my current Toyo Proxes (wear and ride) and am ready to get a new set of tires. Can someone tell me what tires they like/recommend for my '02 A4 Avant (quattro w sports pkg)? At this point, the guys at thie tire places are steering this "gal" to:
Yokohama Avid H4S
Michelin Pilot XGT Z4
Pirelli P6
Bridgestone G009
I don't want to spend more than necessary. I drive country roads and highway and don't really drive hard. I live in No CA and we have some snow, much winter rains and long hot summers.
Any guidance would be much appreciated!

welcome, i like this fourm too, great ppl, good answers. I had perelli all seasons that came with my car when new. did not like them, tread wore too quickly. now have kumho ecsta and so far i like them. just my opinion. www.tirerack.com is a good place to do research. they give customer ratingsor you might try to do a search here at the forums.
I have not tried them myself yet, but I plan on replacing my high performance summer tires with Continental ContiExtreme Contact all weather high performance tires. I saw them on the Tire Rack website and they look like they perform well and for a decent price. Again, I have not tried them myself, but it might be worth a look.
I know its a little late to post to this thread but I am going to be replacing my original tires this spring. I have a long commute to work and have worn out my P6's in less then a year so i don't forsee replacing them with the same. I'm looking for a good all season as we do get a lot of rain and some snow in the winter.
I've been doing my research on tirerack.com and saw the Continental ContiExtreme Contact as being overall very good and for a good price. I was wondering if anyone actually had experience with them and what their impression was. The reviews on tirerack are pretty mixed and most from warmer areas that don't need to worry about a lot of rain or snow. The only person from the north east seems to have been very unhappy with them.
Thanks!
