Default Hi all New Member from CT

Hi everyone, my name is Ray I recently purchased a 2005 Audi A6 Quattro 4.2 with 72k miles for $16,000. I've had it for about a week and a half and absolutely LOVE it. I'm joining this forum to learn more about these cars and to get input. I have a few questions right off the bat.

1. Because I don't trust any dealership I want to change the oil I have been a Valvoline person all my life I was considering Valvoline High Millage Full Synthetic but taking into consideration that this is somewhat of a performance engine I was thinking about using Royal Purple Full Synthetic with a fram or k&n oil filter. What do you all think?

2. I have the MMI and use the phone feature often, I have an iphone 3GS and my only complaint is that i cant get to my phone book, what can i do to change this?

3. I have an ipod and would like to integrate it into the MMI is there anything that I can get to be able to control my ipod from the MMI interface?

Welcome!
Can't necessarily answer your oil question, but I'm sure someone on here will be able to.

As for the MMI, I've seen several tutorials on how to operate this, and integrate the iPhone on the Audiusa.com website. You might also try checking youtube, if you do not get an answer on here right away.

Good luck!

Yea it is a nice forum, I'm on a few for chevy blazers because that was what i use to have. The only thing I cant seem to find is anything about bolt on's for the 4.2 V8. I have been thinking about how much better my car would perform with out such restrictions on air flow both intake and exhaust. The other thing I can't decide is which rims I would like, I don't want some gangster 24" monster rim that I will have to pay 3 grand for a set. I'm thinking something light weight for less unsprung weight which will increase acceleration and help on gas when cruising on the highway. I know they are expensive but I think a set of Volk Racing TE37 in a dark gun metal gray would look amazing.

Here is my car

Here are the rims I think would look nice on it.
