Default New girl on the block

Hi all, I dont have an Audi as yet but Ive joined the forum because the time has come for me to update my trusty but getting elderly Volvo estate. Ive been looking at either the A4 or A6 estate, they seem to tick all my boxes, lol, having children and dogs to cater for. I want something that looks good and doesnt crawl along like an anaemic snail. Im hoping you guys will let me pick your brains as I have loads of questions about what to look for in a 2nd hand car, problems and pitfalls etc. Always used to be into playing and tuning old Fords along with my late hubby, but for the last two years the responsibility for the family motor has been mine and mine alone after hubs passed away. He chose the volvo as our everyday car back in 2007 & overall its been a pretty good choice, however as the car is getting old (1994 850) and is going to need money chucked at it soon I think the time is right to change it.

Hope this is the right section to post in, if not if someone can point me in the right direction then I can start a new thread in the right place that'll be cool

Cheers - Ali

Welcome!

The A4 Avant (wagon variant) would be ideal I believe. The 2.0T has plenty of power and yet good gas mileage. Looks great, with room for the kids & pets. Quattro all wheel drive is excellent for winter handling as well.
