Hey all,good forum.I have a 98 2.8 avant,blue,that i bought after having an 85 golf 3 speed auto that was flawless trouble-free for the 17 years it was in our family,i still have it.I love my avant although it gives me stumping problems,being an auto/boat mechanic,and is severely underpowered for what it should be w/30 valves and no Quattro.I will try to give advice with any Questions or difficulties that i'm familiar with.My latest problem is a vacuum leak or anti siphon check valve ,i think,that causes the car to not want to start immediately,only when fiiling at the gas station. Hope to help and learn.
