I just bought the above mentioned A6. It has 78k on the engine. I plan on upgrading the chip as soon as the car is delivered but the car IS a 2000. It's going to be my daily driver so I don't plan on doing too much to it. I figured if I did the chip and short throw shifter it be a funner drive to work. I've never modified the engine on any previous cars out of fear I'd have complications and not the knowledge or $ to fix it. I still in that boat. I'm new to the audi world. Any advice on getting the ecu upgrade or other basic upgrades that would be worth the money? Also, I was looking into "vast performance" as I live in the same neighborhood as their shop. Are they reputable? The guy there said he'd upgrade my ecu and put a short throw in for pretty damn cheap. I'm considering selling my GTI and using the $ toward parts and labor but I haven't talked myself into it yet. Any guidance is appreciated.
