Newbie looking for an Audi

I have been looking for an audi for about a month or 2. I have a 94 eagle vision. thing is leaking oil and it doesnt have A/C soooo I am just annoyed with it and want something that will be good on gas but still peppy.

Friend of mine had an audi a4 1.8t and told me it was the greatest thing ever.
He was always driving back and forth from Orlando to Melb so I assumed it would be able to take the abuse of everyday ware and tear.

I was always worried about them being expensive to fix. He told me they were not.

so I signed up on here looking for advice and pointers before I go out and buy one. I am saving up till Nov. Prolly looking at a 97, 98, or 99 nothing too fancy but something I can tint and put wheels on, maybe upgrade the turbo, drive it for a few years then build it when I have bought my lifted truck I want.
